Howard Caver has been married to Clara Caver for 46 years. In 1995 Howard and Clara, were named “Outstanding Bivocational Pastor and Wife of the Year” by the Texas Southern Baptist General Convention of Texas and by the National Southern Baptist Convention. In 2001 the Baptist General Convention of Texas awarded his congregation the “Salt and Light Award” for making a difference in the community.

While a youth, Howard Caver accepted the Lord Jesus under the preaching of Rev. G.A. Lowe at Bethel A.M.E. Church of Abilene, Texas. He served as treasurer of the youth department. As an adult he served as steward at Bethel A.M.E. Church.

In 1981 he and Clara founded and still pastors World Missionary Baptist Church of Ft. Worth, Texas. In 1994 he and Clara founded Ekklesia Christian School of Ft. Worth, Texas. Of the over 5000 churches in the Baptist General Convention of Texas, World Missionary Baptist Church was one of four to be highlighted at the 2004 annual convention.

In 1998 he and Clara founded Unlimited Faith, Inc. that owns and operates Immanuel's HealthCare (nursing home) at 4515 Village Creek Rd. where Ft. Worth, Texas. Howard serves as CEO/President. In 2005 completed construction of $4.5 million dollar 84-bed facility which is the first new nursing home to open east of downtown Ft. Worth in 36 years.

In December 2001 he published his first book, Unhandcuffing God. The book highlights the many miracles he has personally experience from God. The book also gives the biblical principles upon which these miracles were based. In August 2002 he published the Study Guide to Unhandcuffing God. In October 2007 he published the third book, Unhandcuffing God II. He and his wife are the presenters in his seminar called the Unhandcuffing God Seminar.

Howard and Clara received their B. A. degrees from Langston University. Howard received his Masters degree in counseling and guidance from Hardin-Simmons University in 1970. He has also attended Southwestern Seminary. In April 2000 he completed his course work for Nursing Home Administrator at Tarrant County College of Ft. Worth, Texas and is a licensed nursing home administrator.

He and Clara have worked as public school teachers in Texas public school. Clara also served as a teacher in their own Ekklesia Christian School. In 1969 he was the first African-American professional hired by McMurry College as Assistant Director of the Upward Bound Program where he served for 3 years. Later he became director of the Upward Bound Program and Professor of Education at his alma mater, Langston University. His other work experience includes serving 14 years as personnel staffing specialist, personnel management specialist, and civil rights specialist with the Federal Aviation Administration. Clara also served as an employee of the General Services Administration.

Their 2 children and their spouses and their grandchildren are all saved and serve as some capacity in a church ministry.
